STATEMENT

"My main objective in creating art is to try and move the senses by giving an intensification of reality. I am particularly interested in engaging the viewer as a participant interpreting and interacting with my paintings.

My observations of nature, nesting and nurturing infinitely interest me and are recurrent themes in my artwork. The transitions, transformations, and expectations inherent in these areas provide challengers without end.

Complete happiness never seems to occur in the completion of a work of art…yet, the promise of it is felt in the process itself each time a work is started. It is the great insufficiency that drives me. You could say that the act of creating becomes more essential that the artwork."
