Landscape is a misnomer. Water, sky and land are a mantra repeated over and over until they lose meaning and become nothing. Each painting is a random variant. The repetition holds everything together inside the entropy of the making of the paintings, much in the same way biological function follows a discreet process yet yields random results within species. The work is an attempt to obtain absolute neutrality through the negation of a clear meaning. (asceticism)
